Frequently Asked Questions about SALTO Locks
How do I connect SALTO KS with Operto?
Once the locks are installed, please follow the steps here to complete the integration with Operto.
Will pins work when IQ is online/connected to wifi but the lock is offline/not connected to IQ?
There are no offline pins stored on the lock but all pins are stored on the IQ. So the pins will not work if a lock cannot connect to IQ.
Will pins work when IQ is powered but is offline/not connected to wifi (internet outage)?
If the internet is down and the IQ is offline, the access codes already installed will still work as long as the lock is still connected to the IQ. However, the new access codes will not install. You will need to give your guest a backup code from the Dashboard.
Will pins work when IQ is not powered?
If the IQ loses power, it can no longer send codes to the lock or communicate. If you have SALTO tags with offline access, you will need to use them for access.
If there is a power outage, what happens?
If the whole system's power is down and the lock is not able to communicate with the IQ, the access codes will not work even if they are installed.
How many offline tags can be registered for a Salto Site?
A maximum of 39 offline access tags can be stored on the lock for the site. The client has to purchase the tags from the installer.
