[Yale + SmartThings] Troubleshooting a Yale Lock (Connected by SmartThings)
Step 1: The lock may be offline.
Ensure:
1.) Your wifi connection is working properly.
2.) The distance between the router and hub as well as the distance between the hub and the lock is not greater than 10-15 feet. Also please make sure that no walls are obstructing their views to each other.
Login to your SmartThings app and try to physically lock and unlock the door from your phone. If this does not work, try manually locking and unlocking the door to wake the lock back up.
3.) Remove the battery cover, take out the battery and the module. Wait for 10 seconds and put the module and then the battery back in. Put the battery cover on.
Try locking/unlocking the door using your SmartThings app
4.) Repair Z-wave network from the SmartThings app:
Select the SmartThings Hub, press (⋮), Z-Wave utilities, Repair Z-wave network, Start repair.
If this does not work, go to step 2.
Step 2: You will need to unpair and re-pair your lock.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to tell Operto if you reset the hub so that we can sync it on the back end.
