Compatibility checklist: Confirm that your AC is compatible with Tado before proceeding. Your AC must have an external IR remote that displays current settings (temperature and fan speed). Please reach out to our sales team if you require help determining compatibility. Here are some further specifications on the Tado AC Control
Step 1: Account Setup
- Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on and you are connected to the unit's Wi-Fi.
- Download the free Tado mobile app.
- Sign In with the credentials that we have created for you. If you are signed in with a different account, sign out and then sign in with the provided account. If you did not receive your login credentials, please email our Client Success Team
- Follow the instructions here to install your Tado device to the app.
Step 2: Device Setup
- Tap ' Add Device'
- Tap 'Smart AC Control'
- Follow the remaining steps inside the app. (Make sure to connect to the 2.4 GHz WiFi network when prompted as the device does not support the 5 GHz network.)
- It is important to name each "room" according to the unit name that you are onboarding
- Mount the device on the wall, in a position where it is able to maintain a connection with the AC wall unit
