How to set-up your Schlage Encode:
1. Install your Schlage Encode lock2. Download the Schlage Home App
3. Sign Up for new Schlage Home account or login with existing credentials
4. Click +Lock symbol (top right), Select Schlage Encode, create lock name based on the unit number or address
5. Follow remaining instructions as per the app
6. Program the lock with either 4 or 6 digit code lengths. If using a Schlage Encode along with another Yale lock within the same company, code length must be 4 digits. If PIN length needs to be changed, refer here Schlage FAQ
7. Notify Operto Support once lock has been set-up. If your lock is already on the Schlage Home app, please share your login credentials.
How to share access if you already have set-up your Schlage Home lock:
You can also share access to the lock if you have an existing Schlage Home account.
1. Open the app and select which lock you would like to send the invite for.
2. Tap the “Users” icon on the bottom right of the screen.
3. Tap “Virtual Keys.” on the bottom right of the screen. Add a new virtual key by tapping the “+” in the top right of the screen.
4. Enter name "Operto Support" and create with Admin access
5. Select Email to send invite, add email address "onboarding@operto.com"
The invitation will be available for 24 hours before it expires. Operto Support will reach out to you to confirm lock has been activated.
