[Connect] Access Schedules for Common Doors
Access Schedules for Common Doors
Guests can now have different access times for common doors than for their accommodation. That means you can give guests secure access to shared/common spaces before check-in time and after check-out time.
How It Works
With this feature enabled, you can configure separate access timing offsets for:
-
Main building entrances
-
Luggage storage
-
Elevator access
-
Shared/common area doors
-
Amenity spaces
-
Other Common Doors connected to your lock integrations
For example:
-
A guest room code may activate exactly at check-in time
-
A building entrance or elevator code may activate earlier to allow smoother guest arrival
How to Implement this feature
To have this feature implemented, please reach out to Operto Support at support@operto.com, with your preferred common door schedule.
Important Considerations / Tradeoffs for KIC, Schlage, and Mercury Board Users
To ensure reliable synchronization despite hardware limitations, access codes will automatically install and activate on all primary and common door locks 10 minutes before the usual code activation time. As a result, the code status will remain “Scheduled” until its activation time.
Please note that timing precision and synchronization behaviour may vary slightly between lock manufacturers and platforms.
