An introduction to Operto Guest

Steps to create your first Guest Portals:
  1. Open Guest Portal and head to the Guide section
  2. Press + button to create a new guide
  3. Give guide a name, set a color for the theme of the guide and add a cover for the guide. If you don't give guide a cover, your theme color will be shown as the color of your guide.
  4. Next is the Settings section. Here, you can choose to publish the guide, mark the guide as featured or schedule to guide to only show during a certain streach of time (like Christmas holidays). Once you have updated these settings, you can press the save button.
  5. Once to have created a guide, you need to add pages to that guide. To do that, first open the new guide and then press the + button.
  6. Here, you can give you page a title, subtitle and add some text, videos or photos giving some more details regarding the page. You can also include a button opening a external webpage. For example, a local restaurant's page can have a button redirecting to a reservation page.
  7. Before saving the page, you would need to assign a category to the page in the Settings page, if you don't have one, you would have create a new one by clicking the + button next to "Create a new category". And just like guides, you can decide to publish, feature or schedule a page.
  8. Once you have added all the guides and pages and added branding, address host details and global text in the Content tab, your global guide is ready.
  9. Next, you can customize these guides for each unit. To do that, head to properties and open the unit that you want to customize.
  10. In this window, you will see another Guest Portal section. In this Guest Portal section, you can add activate a guide for a specific unit in unit details and customize Host details, address, welcome and goodbye message, terms and condition and edit the guide and its pages at a unit level. Note: Once you start making changes at a unit level, any changes made to the global guide will not be reflect on the unit level guide.
  11. All set! Your first version of your Guest Portal is ready!
